aloha

i finally went to my first hawaiian joint in houston. aloha hawaiian bbq at 1803 fry road in katy. a co-worker and i went right around noon and it was dead, i'm guessing because it's at a bad location and it looks like a chinese joint with a hawaiian slant. sorry, bout that. it's been open for 9 months and the owners say it's been pretty slow. i doubt it'll still be open by the end of the year. when i first went in i was looking on the board for kalua pork and cabbage but didn't see it pictured. there was katsu, spam, kalbi, and loco moco up there but no kalua pork. anyhow, we each got a bbq chicken and katsu bowl and it was just ok. thanks for the memories.
