some of you may know i've been intrigued by this tiny boxy import called the nissan cube. i first saw it in an auto magazine a few years ago under the heading "cars you wish you could have but can't". basically it was highlighting a few foreign cars that were either superior in design or performance that wouldn't be shipped to the usa. this one caught my eye because it was compact, shaped like a mini-loaf, and the side rear windows were assymetrical. what do i mean by that? if you look closely at the very last window on the right side of the picture the glass doesn't seem to come to an end. that's because it actually wraps around the back of the vehicle. the window on the left side doesn't. i finally saw one in person as i was crossing the street in an area of auckland called newmarket. it was kind of mint green in color and even smaller than i imagined, maybe a tad smaller than the scion xb. it was pretty cool, i hope they send a few stateside.
